Beyond: Two Souls is a action adventure video game that was developed by Quantic Dream published by Quantic Dream/Sony Computer Entertainment. The video game was released on October 17, 2013 and censored in Europe and Japan, the former to prevent a PEGI 18 rating, and the latter because of CERO's policies.

Censorship[edit | edit source]

European Censorship[edit | edit source]

  • The scene that shows Jodie fighting a scientist with a pole was modified for the European release. In the European release the pole is smaller and never goes goes through the scientist's neck instead it simply hits the ground. The blood in this scene was also removed.
  • The scene that shows Ryan Clayton being tortured was modified for the European release. In the European release Jodie looks at the ground which causes you to no longer see Ryan being tortured.

Japanese Censorship[edit | edit source]

  • The scene that shows Jodie fighting a scientist with a pole was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese release the pole is smaller and never goes goes through the scientist's neck instead it simply hits the ground. The blood in this scene was also removed.
  • The scene that shows Ryan Clayton being tortured was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese release Jodie looks at the ground which causes you to no longer see Ryan being tortured.
