Borgia

Borgia is an International Historical TV show produced by Canal+, ZDF, ORF and Sky Italia. The show came out on 10 July 2011 and ended on 27 October 2014. Due to the Channel ZDF wanting the show to air at 8pm and believing certain scenes to be too violent/sexual for the network the series was censored.

1. The intro scene completely different, the main difference though is in the uncensored it shows a close up on a woman's naked breasts.
2. The scene that shows Lucretia running up to her mother was modified for the ZDF broadcast. In the ZDF version her dad is standing in the background completely nude. In the ZDF version he is wearing all of his clothes.
3. The scene showing Rodrigo Borgia having sex with Giulia Farnese was shortened.
4. The scene that shows Lucrezia watching her uncle Rodrigo having sex with Giulia was modified for the ZDF broadcast. In the uncensored you see Rodrigo and Giulia in the bed. While in the ZDF version it shows a close up shot on Lucrenzia.
5. The scene that shows Fabrizio Colonna beating his wife was shortened.
6. The scene that shows Marcantonio Colonna kissing a nun in the crouch was cut.
7. The scene that shows Cesare and Juan Borgia beating up Marcantonio Colonna was shortened.
8. The scene that shows the Colonnas beating the young Cardinal Giovanni De Medici aside in the tavern was cut.
9. The scene that shows one of the Borgia's smashing a jar against a opponent's head was cut.
10. The scene that shows a dagger stuck in a belly was cut.
11. The scene that shows a throat being stabbed was was shortened.
12. The scene that shows a close up on Juan Marcantonio stabbing an opponent in the eye with the dagger was replaced with a long close up on Juan Marcantonio.
13. The scene that shows Juan Marcantonio cutting off his finger was shortened.

• Episode 2

1. The scene that shows Juan and Ceaser in a room with three whores was shortened.
2. The scene that shows the Pope drinking milk from a mom's breast was shortened.
3. The scene that shows the witch exposing her breasts was shortened.
4. The scene that shows Ceaser grasping one of the witch's nipples was cut.
5. The scene that shows the Jew Doctor's throat being slit was cut.
6. The scene that shows Ceaser strangling the which's throat was shortened.
7. Any scene that shows Juan using a hammer to smash the assassin's bones were cut.
8. Any scene that shows the assassin's public area was cut.
9. The scene that shows Juan picking up his belt while walking towards the nude woman was cut.

1. The scene that shows a dog nibbling on the bones of a corpse was cut.

• Episode 4

1. The scene that shows Liameta beating Ceaser was shortened.
2. The scene that shows a soldier slitting a man's throat was cut.
3. The scene that shows Borgia's confidante grabbing the crotch of the dissatisfied informant was cut.
4. The scene that shows Borgia's confidante cutting the dissatisfied informant's tongue was cut.
5. The scene that shows the tongue lying on the dissatisfied informant's chest as he screams was cut.
6. The scene that shows Liameta having sex with another man was cut.

• Episode 5

1. The scene that shows the hand's of the two fraudsters being cut off was cut.
