Command and Conquer: Red Alert is a real time strategy game that was developed by Westwood Studios, and published by Virgin Interactive. The game was released on October 31, 1996. Due to the German government's regulations, a number of scenes were censored for the German release. As a result, soldiers were replaced by robots, violent cutscenes were modified or replaced, and a scene in the intro showing Hitler before his rise to power was cut.
