Contra is a Japanese action platforming game that was developed by Konami and was published by Konami. The video game was released on February 9, 1988. The game was censored in Europe due to German laws regarding violence in video games. As a result all human characters became robots in the European version.

  • Every human character was changed to a robot/cyborg. The name of the game has been changed to Probotector (NES) or Gryzor.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The American and Japanese versions are completely uncensored.
