Dead or Alive 6 is a fighting video game that was developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo Games. The video game was first released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows on March 1, 2019. The game was censored worldwide to minimize the portrayal of violence involving younger characters.[1]

  • The camera no longer zooms in when the Break Blow attack is used on the younger characters: Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO.[2] In a Famitsu interview with then-Koei Tecmo director Yohei Shimbori, it was revealed that it was actually Japanese fans who did not like seeing said characters being hit in a closeup at the Tokyo Game Show 2018 trial and at DOA Fes 2018, as well from Dead or Alive Xtreme fans[3][4].

Where to find it uncensored[]

The PC version can be modded to be uncensored.

  4. ――By the way, there’s an effect where you get hit with a close-up face with a Break Blow, but it wasn’t introduced in Marie, Honoka, or NiCO, right? Moreover, the previous version, such as the trial version, had a production. Why? Shinbori: An overwhelming number of players said, "I don't want to see someone getting hit close-up!" It's not going to be uploaded at the moment, but I'd like to see the reaction from the players again. At least at the Tokyo Game Show 2018 trial, there were so many people who hated seeing Marie and Honoka being beaten that they could hear they screaming. Also, there were similar concerns at "DOA Fes 2018" (official events such as "DOA" series tournaments and cosplay contests), especially from fans of the "DOA Xtreme" series, seeing them being beaten. There was also an opinion that it was shocking.
