Doraemon (2005 anime)

Doraemon is a Japanese anime that was made by TV Asahi, and it was released on April 15, 2005 and it is still ongoing. Fujiko Pro and TV Asahi decided to censor the show's western release, as a result sexuality and violence were toned down.

Censorship

Season One

• Episode 1

1. Any scene that does not take place doing a flashback was cut.
2. Any scene that shows Noby's face was modified for the Disney XD broadcast. In the uncensored version his face is black, in the Disney XD version his face is green.
3. The scene that shows Noby looking at his wedding book was cut.
4. The scene where Soby explains to Noby that there are four ways to get to Osaka was cut.
5. The scene that shows Noby noticing that everyone is staring at him in his underwear was cut.
6. The scene that shows Noby running away due to him being embraced was cut.

• Episode 4

1. The scene that shows a character accidentally changing into himself was modified for the Disney XD broadcast. In the Disney XD version clouds were digitally added.
2. The scene that shows Sue when he falls from the sky was modified for the Disney XD broadcast. In the Disney XD version clouds were digitally added.

Season Two

• Episode 42

1. The opening scene was shortened.
2. Any scene that shows Dorami and Pawaemon were cut.
3. The scene that shows Doraemon's first encounter with Devlin was cut.
4. The restaurant scene was cut.
5. The scene that shows everyone struggling to find a car was cut.
6. The scene where Noby tells Sue about the story about Doraemon's ears was cut.
7. The scene that shows the Lava course was cut.
8. The scene that shows Big G jumping into Devlin's Car to attack him was cut.
9. The scene that shows everyone clapping due to Noby and Doraemon winning the race was shortened.

Nickelodeon

1. The scene where Big G fights Nobi & Doraemon was removed[1]

Middle East Censorship

• Episode 13B

1. The scene where Nobita pulls Shizuka's skirt off was cut out in Spacetoon and changes into a several dialogue due to pervert things.

• Episode 61A

1. Nobita Enters Shizuka's Bathroom was shortened due to nudity and pervert things.
2. Shizuka's voice was replaced into a middle aged woman voice when the watercycline is over.

• Episode 115 & 116

1. Due to Shizuka's villan costume where her sholders and collarbones appeared was modified with pink bodyshirt for the Spacetoon broadcast to cover the character body.
