When a broadcast network and radio network airs indecent content it can be fined by the FCC. If the FCC gets a certain amount of complents they will investgate if that content violated infecency laws.

The FCC or the Federal Communications Commission is an independent agency of the United States Government, it was created in order to regulate interstate communications by Radio, TV, Wire, Satellite, and Cable in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories. Broadcast Radio and TV are subject to indecency laws.
