Fireman Sam is an animated doll CGI cartoon series by Mattel Television. The series was released on November 28, 1989 and is still ongoing. When Season 9 was released, one episode was pulled by Channel 5 due to controversy.

  • Episode 6 (Troubled Waters)
  1. This episode was pulled by Channel 5 in 2016 due to controversy about the Quran.
  2. The scene where Elvis slips on a piece of paper was modified for the 2016 International re-release. In the 2016 international re-release, the paper which shows the Quran script was left blank, or blurred out.

Due to the controversy, Mattel Television terminated Xing Xing's contract which had worked with them for eight years.

Where to find it uncensored[]

You can find the episode Troubled Waters uncensored in the Season Nine DVD. The online versions, and the streaming versions were originally uncensored, but they use the censored version as of 2020.
