Kingdom Hearts 2 is a Japanese roleplaying game that was developed by Square Enix, and it was released on December 22, 2005. Due to the game targeting a younger market for it's international release some scenes were censored in order to make it more family friendly.
Censorship
International Censorship
- The scene that shows Daisy Duck spanking Donald Duck's bottom was modified for the International release. In the International version it shows Daisy Duck talking to Donald Duck.
- The scene that shows Axel's suicide attack was modified for the International release. In the International version the amount of flames that was shown surrounding Axel, were reduced.
- The scene that shows Sorra fighting the Hydra was modified for the International release. In the International version the green blood was changed to a black mist.
- Any scene that shows the undead priates was modified for the International release. In the Japanese version the undead pirates use rifles, in the International version the undead pirates use crossbows
- The scene where Will Turner threatens to commit suicide was modified for the International release. In the International versions any reference to suicide was removed.
- The scene that shows Will turner pointing the gun at his head was modified for the International release. In the International version Will points the gun at the ground.
- The scene that shows Jack Saparrow staggering back with a sword in his chest, was modified for the International release. In the International versions the sword was digitally removed.
- The scene that shows Xigbar combining his guns to create a rilfe was modified for the International release. In the International version Xigbar does not combine his guns. (This scene is completely uncensored in the 2.5 HD release.)
- The scene that shows Xibar's gun's crosshair was modified for the International release. In the International version the crosshair was changed to three purple circles that form a tringle.
- The mechanic that allows you to move the camera to see Kairi's underwear was modified for the International release. In the International version you can't see her underwear. (This scene was only censored in the 2.5 HD release.)
