Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks is an American fighting game that was made by Midway Studios Los Angeles, and it was released on September 16, 2005. When the game was released in Germany it was censored, as a result blood was digitally removed and gore was blurred out.

  • All scenes showing bloodletting were modified for the German release. All blood was digitally removed. Any dismemberment or gore is blurred out.
  • The scene that shows Reptile biting Johnny Cage's head was modified for the German release. In the German version the blood was digitally removed.
  • The scene that shows Liu Kang kicking Shang Tsung's head was modified for the German release. In the German version the blood was digitally removed.
  • The scene that shows Kung Lao's hat slicing a man's head off was modified for the German release. In the German version the blood was digitally removed, and once the head is cut off it is blurred.
  • The scene that shows Sub Zero holding guts up in the air was modified for the German release. In the German version the guts were blurred out.
  • The scene that shows Sub Zero throwing the guts at Scorpion was modified for the German release. In the German version the guts were digitally removed.
  • The scene that shows Scorpion throwing a rope with a spike on the end at Liu Kang was modified for the German release. In the German version the blood was digitally removed.
