Reign is a historical romantic drama that was made by CW, and was released on October 17, 2013 and it ended on June 16, 2017. Due to the CW"s broadcasting standards the show was censored in order to make it more family friendly. As a result sexuality was toned down.

- The scene that shows the King of France engaging in sexual intercourse with Kenna was cut.
- Episode 13
- The scene that shows Nostramaus and the courtesan having sex was shortened.
- The scene that shows the camera panning out while it shows the courtesan on top of Nostramaus was modified for the CW broadcast. In the CW version it was replaced with a scene that shows Nostramaus and the courtesan under the bed's covers.
- The scene that shows the courtesan moving under the blanket was modified for the CW broadcast. In the CW version it was replaced with a close up on Nostramaus.
- The scene that shows Mary and Francis consummating the marriage was shortened.
