Reservoir Dogs is a third-person shooter video game based on the 1992 film of the same name directed by Quentin Tarantino. It was developed by Volatile Games and published by Eidos Interactive (now a part of Square Enix). It was released in Europe on August 25, 2006.
Censorship[edit | edit source]
Australian Censorship[edit | edit source]
The game was banned in Australia due to high impact gory violence. At that time, there was no 18+ rating available for video games.
New Zealand Censorship[edit | edit source]
The publication was given an Objectionable label, making it illegal to export, sell, or possess the material. The game was banned because the Classification Office found that the publication "tends to promote and support the infliction of extreme violence and extreme cruelty…for the purpose of entertainment".
German Censorship[edit | edit source]
The game was put on the Index (BPjM) for extreme violent content, making it illegal to sell.
Where to find it uncensored[edit | edit source]
It is available elsewhere uncensored, including in the UK, despite attacks from the Police and MPs.
