Shadow of the Tomb Raider was developed by Eidos Montrael and published by Square Enix, and the game was released on 14 September 2018. Due to Japanese laws regarding violence the game had to be censored in order to get the Z rating. In a update the blood splatters was reduced.

Japanese Censorship[edit | edit source]

  • The scene that shows Lara discovering a rock smeared in red blood was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese version the red blood was digitally changed to black.
  • The scene that shows Lara following a trail of blood was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese version the red blood was digitally changed to black.
  • The scene that shows Lara discovering a huge puddle of blood was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese version the red blood was digitally changed to black.
  • The scene that shows Miguel's dead body falling in front of Lara was modified for the Japanese release. In the Japanese version he is now wearing clothes and there is no visible injuries to the face or body.

  • Blood Splatters were reduced in one of the updates.

Where to find it uncensored[edit | edit source]

If you don't update the game it will be completely uncensored (for non Japanese players).
