Rocko's Modern Life

Rocko's Modern Life is an American cartoon that was produced by Nickelodeon. The show was broadcast from September 26, 1993 to November 24, 1996. Due to network standards changing over time some scenes were censored in order to keep the TV-Y rating.

• Rocko's Modern Life has been known to feature numerous innuendos in its run. Outside of obvious sexual humor, many of them disguise grown up and adult topics directly relatable to real modern life that would not be accepted if presented directly.
• The episode "Wimp on the Barby" features a subtly mocking speech about not using violence and censoring television shows with violence guised in regret by Rocko, after having punched childhood nemesis Dingo "Fluffy Nono" in the face at the end of the episode. The speech is believed to have been done to appease the censors and to not violate Nickelodeon's as well as the Federal Censorship Committee's now-outdated clauses that there must be an aesop and that direct violence by the main character cannot be used to resolve conflicts on children's animated shows.

The original version is completely undesired, the VHS is completely uncensored, and when the episodes air on Teen Nick they were completely uncensored.
