World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is an American massive multiplayer rpg or(mmo for short) that was developed by Blizzard Entertainment and it was published by Blizzard Entertainment. Due to Chinese laws regarding violence in video games, the Chinese release was censored. As a result a variety of elements were removed/ changed. Some of the elements that were changed was blood and skulls/ bones were removed.

Chinese Censorship[edit | edit source]

  • The skeleton dragon was modified for the Chinese release. In the Chinese version the dragon is a ice dragon, as a result you can no longer see any bones.
  • The scene that shows skulls on the yellow crystals was modified for the Chinese release. In the Chinese version the skulls were digitally removed.
  • Trolls were modified for the Chinese release. In the Chinese version the skin was digitally recolored light blue, and the skin was digitally extended to cover up any bones.
  • Any model that shows bones or skulls was modified for the Chinese release. In the Chinese version the bones/ skulls were censored in a number of different ways. For some of the models the skulls and bones were digitally removed, and other times the models were completely removed.
  • The scene that shows two skeletons lying next to a pot filled with lava was modified for the Chinese release. In the Chinese version the skeletons were digitally removed.
  • The chest model was modified for the Chinese release. In the Chinese version the skull on the front of the chest was digitally removed.
  • The scene that shows a bloody corpse on a table was modified for the Chinese release. In the Chinese version the corpse was changed to hay man.
  • Blood was digitally recolored green for the Chinese release.

Where to find it uncensored[edit | edit source]

Every other country has it completely uncensored.
