"You Saw My Blinker" is a song by the former African-American hip hop rap duo DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Due to the supposed "family friendliness" of the music DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, the word "bitch" had to be muted/changed on several radio stations throughout the world, and there was some additional censorship to add onto that too.

Censorship[]

  • The word "bitch" is often muted with part of the instrumental, due to DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince's songs usually being family friendly. In some countries, the word "bitch" is digitally modified to make it sound like Will Smith said "witch" instead, by removing the "b" sound and digitally swapping it with one of the "w" sounds in the vocals.
  • In New Zealand, a whole part of the song from the line "The bailiff grabbed me slammed me on the ground" to "For givin' him the finger and things of that sort" is cut, instead, the line "Wrinkled old bag started cryin' on the stand" is said, before cutting straight to the line "Anything to say before you're dismissed". But as of 2008, the whole song is now played uncensored (although "bitch" like in some other countries, is muted
  • In the United Kingdom, the song was pulled off radio stations in 1992 due to the use of the word "bitch" and it's depiction of elder abuse. The ban was lifted in 1995. However, the song was once again banned in 2005, but again, was lifted in 2012, and hasn't been banned since.
